Post subject: The OasisFM and Oxfam Tsunami benefit gig pics |

On Friday night I had a really good time at the Oasis FM charity gig at the Soul Seller in Las Americas and was delighted to see some bands who could really play and didn't rely on backing tracks or karaoke! The first band I saw was Divine Intervention and was impressed not only with their sound but also how they were getting audience participation. Later on T3 were playing ZZ Top and Staus Quo and other classic rock and the Wild Boys did the hit they were named after and I found myself up on the dance floor strutting my stuff and chanting the chorus line!
It was great meeting Mel Faulkner of Oasis too.
Also The Drifters did all their hits and I really enjoyed them.
Another excellent live band that was there was the Lizard Kings but unfortunately I couldn't stay for all of their set because I had to dash off for the bus to get me home.
I took a load of pics but a lot didn't come out that well I am afraid. Here are some that were OK:
A Drifter
A Lizard King
Guitarist of Divine Intervention
All in all a great event that I understand raised a lot of money for a very worthy cause and a big round of applause to all at Oasis FM, the bands and acts that played and all the people who attended!
