i was just wondering, speaking of tradition etc in my 'north oftenerife' post, is there any place where the locals still have castonette dancing with all those cool flamenco skirts?

i loooove it. its so full of emotion! when i listen to that cheesy song called 'Bambaleo' it reminds me of that a bit!!

am i being too Spanish or do the little local places do this? i think they sometimes have it at fiestas?

I was in a restaurant the other evening and there was a flamenco show, was pretty good only you had to shout over the table "PASS THE SALT"

I think the banana garden restaurant have flamenco dancers in the evenings..................i have never been though.

I saw it advertised in the papers.........

Flamenco is not what you'd see in the village fiestas here as it is really an Andalucian traditional dance. But I've also heard the Banana Garden do a flamenco show too (advertised on the radio). I love it too...
