Thanks to you all for our welcomes, seems like a good forum, maybe I am a little shy until you get to know me!!! We moved here last year and have had a great time sussing it all out, but now really settled. We came over with our black labrador (11 years old now and getting a bit old, but he loves it too) and our Cockatiel (how sad is that eh). Be good to speak to you all, you seem like good fun.

Hi all

Thank you for all your greetings. Bardofely yes I am an animal lover but have been quite upset since living here to see that not everyone else is. We have already witnessed two dogs being dumped here last year was heatbreaking but fortunately K9 came to the rescue. To be honest I cannot walk our dog on my own now because of all the stray or owned dogs who are just let out on their own pestering us. Oscar our black lab is so placid and easy going and not nice when we are pestered by all the other dogs. Or the other situation is dogs being left out on balconies in the blazing heat, barking and crying, breaks my heart. Unfortunately the same old story its the owners not the animals themselves that are the problem. How are your cats here, are they troubled by dogs etc.

we just recently got a puppie from K9 as we thought it was better to get an unwanted dog. She is lovely but at the moment is not allowed out until she has had her injections.

I also have a cat but at the present she is at home in UK with my mum.......

I also have a cat and he is the boss on our complex! He even threatens the big dog that lives below us and has scratched him several times There are not many strays around here though, thankfully.
