Hey!

Ive been having a bit of a nosy on this site for a bit as Im coming over to Tenerife In September, Ive decided now that Im free from that trotter I call an ex boyfriend Im gonna go where the grass is greener, find a job and live out my days in the sunshine!

Will there still be jobs in September time? I have an NIE on its way and Ive worked in pubs clubs and restaurants for donkeys.

welacome to the forum.

There will pssibly be jobs in september as a lot of the summer workers will be going home. The bars and restaurants are still fairly busy at that time to. I would advise though that if you have any other qualifcations that you try and head down that route, as the pay for bar work is not great.........

have a look round the site and using the search facility you should be able to find everything you need....

Hi Charls, a great big welcome from me. Can you do anything apart from bar work? It might be an idea to put a few details on here, you never know you may just catch someone's eye although you can't beat the old leg work once you're here.

Im a sales and marketing Co-ordinator and big into event organising and copy writing for brochures and such, If there was anything like that out there then that would be awesome! but there be much call for that out there?

Honestly you will not regret it, now that you have got rid of old Del Boy (trotter)(been there done that) life will be even better, especially if you are out here. So much going on and everyone happy not like old blighty were it is all depression and gloom. Go for it girl!!!

Best advice I can give you is learn Spanish, then your chances of finding a decent job will be higher. Do you speak any Spanish? Other languages are also useful here, but obviously Spanish is the most important.

Why does everyone think there are only bar/restaurnat jobs out here?

I will have a scout on the internet, in between work of course because Im still stuck behind a desk at the moment chained to my computer with no view! God its depressing! Im learning Spanish and Greek at the moment, which (not to show off) Im finding quite easy, alyhough I should'nt speak to soon really. I suppose it means that I can do extra talking with a few languages under my belt and I do love to chat!
