As usual Sara, trouble is most of the job seekers are not looking for a job but rather some money each week in order to be able to stay and play. They all swear blind that they're hard working, reliable etc. etc. and just sometimes there's a little nugget amongst them. We'll see.

May I make a small suggestion to all those looking for work? As you're expecting a prospective employer to see your post, wouldn't it be a good idea to READ what you've written and make sure that the spelling is correct and that it makes sense?
It might help you find work! |

I take it that was aimed at me Rob! Just to re-phrase; I am looking to fly out on 12th May and wish to start work as soon as I arrive. I have worked in the capacity of bar staff, bar supervisor, Assistant, Deputy and General Bar manager over a period of four years. I'm sick of the english weather and lifestyle. I work very hard for anyone who'll take a chance on me. And I'm willing to work at any level offered to me. Any advice or help in any form will be appreciated.
Cheers for the tip Rob, but could use some more practical advice if you've got any!! |

Post subject: Administrative Positions |
|
|
Hi there,
I'm looking to move back across to Tenerife in the not-so distant future. Previously worked there doing the "veronicas" thing, but now with an intention of a permanent move.
I am currently an HR Administrator in the uk, so looking for an admin/office based position somewhere in the South. At present, my Spanish language skills are not up to scratch, but looking in to that!!
Would have no problems with working in a bar until more permanent post comes up.
Has anyone got any advice on how to find/apply for these kind of jobs?
Thanks! |

Hey Lindsay,
Is this the same person writing this? How much extra time did it take? Well done, we get enquiries like this all the time and as an employer, badly written posts with spelling mistakes are a big turn off unless I were looking for a dazzling young girl willing to flash her wares while trying to get customers to buy extra drinks then no-one worries about her language or spelling abilities! As I've said on here many times the only way to get a job out here is to be here and do the rounds. Hard work and no guarantee i know but there's hundreds who are willing to try.
By the way it wasn't aimed specifically at you. Good luck, Rob |

Im moving to Tenerife on the 29th April, I got a job via a registered agency on the net which recruit in the PR sector. I know that they are looking to recruit more people but the thing is you must be there for May 1st! They pay for your first months accommodation and flights!

| Sorry to disillusion you Paula but thousands of people come to Tenerife every year with the same deal and for every thousand that come 999 go home broke. I wish you luck and hope that you are one of the ones that make it. |
