Post subject: so quiet! |
|
|
Just returned from an excellent 2 weeks in the glorious hot sun but were surprised at how quiet the Torviscas area was. Weve been visiting at easter for the last 6 years and it is worrying how businesses are surviving.
Obviously its been great for us- 1 euro pints and 2 euro breakfasts but the soul seller in playa had only 4 people in at midnight! We sat outside and loved the music but was expecting a bit more life!
Any comments?
Cheers! |

| You tell us Linda, it has been a very quiet time. One of the reasons we're given is the price of flights, it's much cheaper to go to other places than here even though the weather is not so good. A typical family of four can save a few hundred pounds by going to mainland Spain which makes a nice bit of spending money. |

totally agree with you there - i love tenerife, but only just managed to persuade my partner to consider a move there. he is an offshore worker, so would be flying regularly. flights are so much more expensive than any other spanish destinations. _________________ Von. |

Only just seen this thread, so will add my 2c.
I ordered 3 flights to Tenerife for 8th July in January. Cost was £150 per person.
Tried to order another one the other day for the exact same flight. They stil have loads of seats left apparently, but they want £260 for them!!
Such a rip off! |
