Hi! We are selling our restaurant here in Mallorca, and we would like to move over to the Canary Islands. Tenerife is our first choice, although we have been a few times and didn't care too much for Las Americas. We would like to know of any resorts on Tenerife that are busy with tourists and residents for the longest time over the year, also if anyone can let me know any good websites for estate agents i would be so grateful. If we find the right premises we will be opening an indian restaurant, and we wish to find somewhere rent only, or a low traspaso with low rent, in a busy area with passing trade and no other indian restaurants too close by!
Mallorca is so quiet now so we are looking for as much information on different resorts so that we know where to view when we arrive in November. Thanks! |

Hi xkasx and welcome to our forum
Other main resort areas include Los Cristianos, Costa del Silencio, Callao Salvaje and Los Gigantes. I would like you very much to open an Indian restaurant in Costa del Silencio as I don't know of any here.
See here for a list of estate agents: http://www.sun4free.com/property/view_users.php or do a search in the property section for businesses (there are currently nearly 500 on here). |

I love indian food and it would be nice to have one nearer to us. At the moment we have to go to Los Cristianos for a curry.
Silencio is near by and very busy, with a lot of locals, tourists and passing trade. Also has a large English community which hepls as curry is our favourite food... _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

| Yes i did visit Silencio last year but it seemed very quiet and really a lot going on, maybe it was out of season (november?) I did like it there and we wanted to go back for another visit to see some premises but as circumstances would have it, we had to come back back here before we got chance. As the restaurant here is finally in the process of being sold, then the whole moving to another country and knowing where to go is getting a bit scary! Could you tell me more about Silencio from a residents point of view if you don't mind? There is no beach there i heard? We need to be somewhere where there will be a lot of people all the time! Is there a commercial centre there i seem to remember two floors of bars a few shops a video club etc..?I tried looking through this website at property, estate agents and for businesses but for some reason none of the websites are available! Thanks x |

Silencio has four main shopping centres: Tenbel (between Las Galletas and Silencio), El Trebol (along the main road into Silencio), Chapparal and Coral Mar (which is the one I imagine you have seen).
Silencio does not have a beach but Las Galletas, the next village, does. We get young families visiting in the summer and "swallows" or retired people who come for the whole of the winter.
If you want somewhere where there are lots of people all the time then you'd have to look at Las Americas or Los Cristianos. |
