Hey, no disrespect taken. I understand the natural sense of trepidation when facing new things for the first time. But, I'd be there with them, all the time, offering support and encouragement. Let me tell you. Once they've had their complete fill of the experience, they'd be gagging, frantically, to have it over, and over again..... Very Happy

Hey, check this out for local colloquialism. Last time I visited the island, in November of last year, I went to one of the gyms most mornings. There I got chatting to some of the guys and they (quaintly) refer to body boarding as body 'banging'. Rather perplexed, I enquired why. In broken english it was explained that (adventurous) women seem to have a keen interest in the recreation, and it's often found (apparently) that one activity naturally flows into the other. I'm wondering whether this has any particular significance to anybody within this forum? Mind, perhaps it's better not to ask.... Very Happy

Jama, body banging may mean bumping into the board when you get it wrong, in your eyes it may mean something else!! you little randy thing! Still think you are gagging for it. (only joking). God help Tenerife when you arrive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
