Hi Everyone, How's it goin'?

25yr old guy living just outside Belfast. Just realised that this country has nothing left to offer me and it's really getting me down. Have been thinking of moving to Tenerife now for about 4 yrs, but has always been a bit of a pipe dream. I have holidayed on the island every year since I was 18 and I have decided now that I've wasted enough time messin' about and it's time to get the ball rolling. Life is just too damn short, eh?
I work for an I.T company here during the day and DJ evenings/weekends. I earn decent money, but I know there is a better quality of life to be had. House is going up for sale next week.
I now just want to really make some friends who can maybe give me some advice and help with getting setup. Also if there is anyone in a similar position to me who is looking to relocate, and wanting someone to share accomodation with for the first while to get on there feet, please get in touch. I am going to have to rent somewhere for a while and would like someone to share living costs with.

Anyway, sorry for boring you!

Being a jock, I know how tough it is gettng work, and I know how tight the competition is, so I am not expecting to come out and get great work straight away. I am prepared to take whatever job I can get initially and then work at it, same way as I had to do here. That being said, if I was offered something..............

Dont blame you for moving to tenerife, its a great place. just make sure you have plenty of cash just incase you dont get the job you are looking for. Good luck though

I know exactly how you feel.......i totally love Tenerife aswell and have had a holiday there every year since i was 18, im also 25yrs old. I live in Newcastle but would love to make the move to the Reef !!!

I have a boyfriend of 5yrs and he is sooooo not up for moving over to Tenerife, i have always left it as a pipe dream because of him.......but ive decided that life is to short so im going to go for it, but i think it will be in the new year before i can start to plan, im hoping to be out there by the end of March.

I work as a legal receptionist in a huge Law Firm in Newcastle city centre, but like you im quite willing to do anything once im out there, like PR or bar work...just whatever i can get at the time.

I hope everything works out for you.

That's all a bit freaky though because I have just split with my g/f of 4 and a half years. She was the main reason I have stayed here because she wasn't up for the move either. We had a house together, but the 'for sale' sign will be nailed to it any day now! I am going to use some of the money from the sale of the house to clear off a couple of debts I have here in UK, then I'm off with the rest, so I should be ok for cash till I get sorted. I'm starting to get real excited. I'm glad someone else is doing the same as me, cause everyone I know here thinks I have lost the plot. I know I havn't though, I think I have actually just found it!!!!!
