lol karl, I think it is probably an age thing cos we are in our 40's and 50's and don't have the reckless spontanaiety of youngsters. we also have some commitments here that cannot be altered for at least 2 years so we just have to sit and wait it out. Of course it gives us the time to fact find properly and plan, which believe me we are very good at lol.
We will also be in the enviably position when we do move over of only needing to work part time, so I supose we could be classed as semi-retired then. OOOO I wish |

Hi LidlDee
You will be in exactly the same postion as we were when we moved over as we are in our early 50's and also semi-retired, no mortgage, but you do need to do something as you cannot be on holiday for ever otherwise it gets boring. The problem we have sometimes especially the last few weeks, people coming over to their apartments wanting Dave to do stuff and he has been working really full-time, so I try to slow him down sometimes if I can. Its good though as is all on recommendations now. I am sure you will love it here |

I know we will love it there, just wish we were there now. Like you we will be mortgage free etc but intend to rent for 12 months initially till we have had a proper look round at where we want to live.
At the moment we are thinking about a bungalow, chalet or villa type accomodation with a garden. Dont fancy being in an apartment block risking noisy neighbours. The joys of being old.
So what work do you do part time? |
