You and a million others, sorry to sound blunt but if you want something special out of life you have to work for it. ie if you want to live in tenerife you have to make an effort, whether it's taking a chance on getting work by saving and coming to live here or saving and setting up your own company. Nothing is easy. You have to make the effort, there aren't companies waiting to employ you because you're British. _________________ .

Hi Andy, agree with Rob 100% is not all plain sailing, you have to work at it. Hope it works out OK for you though. |

| I agree too. The trouble I'm having is finding any information on the ambulance service in Tenerrife. I have done extensive serches on the net etc and so far have come up with nothing. I have questions like, Are they lots of companies or fire service run as in the USA, or state run like our NHS, or hospital based? Just cant seem to get started with it. It's a long way to come to find ourt that there is only one service on the Island and that they don't recruit foreign workers. |

There are many different ones. Most of the private clinics etc have their own. One of the requirements will obviously be that you speak Spanish. _________________ .

Are you searching in English? I guess not much information will come up if you are.
Like Rob, I think also that you would have to speak VERY good Spanish in order to do this sort of job as I don't know of any British run ambulance services here, which would be your only option if you don't speak Spanish. |

Found these for you:
You could try calling them if your Spanish is up to it.
Also a job offer:
MÉDICOS PARA TENERIFE Y LA GOMERA
Fecha: 04/09/06
It may not be what you're looking for but if you send your CV (in Spanish) then if it os good they may keep it for when something does come up. |

Tell you what jenny it is a damn shame that you are not allowed to win the champagne. That post would definitely be on the list for it.
Maybe this month as it is your birthday we could take a vote and you could be eligable just for the one month.....heehee.
