As you maybe aware in off to good old Tenerife on the 2nd of august. Who has been in these months and what is the weather like? My friend suffers with Asthma but its under control. If its blazing id like to make sure she steps up her medication as i really dont fancy calling in a doctor. She hasnt had an attack for well over 9 years.

Maybe i will come home with a decent tan as well? Everyone in Tenerife looked brown when i went in may. I felt like a snowflake. Then when i got back to the uk everyone looked pale and i was all golden,lol
Least i have a base tan so i should at least have a good start this august,lol Razz

Yes, it can get very hot later in the summer and if your friend has asthma it would certainly be wise to take precautions and pray that we don't have any calimas! You will definitely get a tan though!

Oh yes that wonderful hot weather and a tan. Makes me depressed just knowing that my holiday is still 8 weeks away. Seems like a life time to me,lol.

im looking forward to the tan though. That will make me so happy.

I promise i will take good care of my buddy and make sure she see's the doctor to step up her medication.

Living in the Uk i was a bad asmathtic, if thats how you spell it!! You see I don't even know how to spell it anymore because since living here, I have no problems!!!

The only time I need to use my inhaler is when we hava Kalima, which are very few and far between. Bring some ventolin, though it is easy to buy over the counter.

The beauty of Tenerife is that we do not have the damp here like in the UK, therefore the old chest doesn't get bogged down!!

My friend is asthmatic and has been here now for 9 months and hasn't used any inhalers. Back at home she had to use 2 different ones daily. If you were to need any medical help, you can ring 112 which is the emergency number or if you just want a doctor to come to your hotel and you're staying in the south, you can ring 900200143 (you can ring both the numbers for free). Also make sure that she's covered for asthma in the travel insurance as if anything happens and she would have to stay in the hospital for anything related to asthma, all the hospitals in the south are private and the nearest public hospital is about 50 miles away.

How was ur holiday then? I went on August 5th till August 20th 2005 and Loved it was extremely hot tho had one sheer bad day where it was thunderstorm n severe rain lol most places were flooded lol but that was day before we went home so wasnt all bad haha.... did you have a good time? xXx

Yes we had a fab time. I got a burnt nose, but apart from that it went great. I had mytummy button pierced while out there on the second day. All the swimming in the sea did it the world of good as it healed up nicely. Cant get over how clean the place was and thecare and attention the bloke gave to me. Better than we get over here.

Im going back on the 15th novemeber to stay once again at the tenerife Princess. Taking the family back there so we can have a lovely 2 week break. i miss tenerife so much.

Anyone know what the weather is like in mid november? Will i get a tan again or is that just a dream,lol.

Aww glad ya had good time i burnt my nose aswell took weeks to heel redness went but the scabbyness n dryness took ages to get rid of lol...

Aye i got a tattoo whilst over there as im only 17 ya see lol n got it dun over there n it was a british parlour but they were soooo clean and caring and helpful and give me all advice n creams n stuff was great.... better care lyk u say there than u wud get here.......

I miss it too its fab.... I need to get holda a fone number for a bar in las americas but cant find it on the net anywhere lol xXx

I was pretty lucky as my hotel was right next to a chemist. i just showed them my nose and they gave me this cream too apply. Within 48 hours it had scabbed over and they all fell off. before that my nose felt like a bit of cardboard,lol.

What bar are you looking for to get the telephone number of? rob here is pretty clued up and what he dont know about Tenerife isnt worth knowing. Ive always read his replies and he is spot on.

Start a new thread and im sure you will get replies. Everyone here is great really.

came last august and coming again this time have a fab photo of me with a flannel over my forehead in the apartment to keep cool!

I wouldnt have it any other way tho i love tenerife and would rather be there on holiday having fun that sat at home in england on my pc!
