Hi guys
This site is fab. Thank you so much for letting me join in.
Ive only been to Tenerife once which was this may. Loved every moment of it as well. Going back on the 2nd august for a week with my best buddy. Then in october we are booking a family holiday out there again.
Last night we were saying how much fun it would be to spend all of christmas out there where we get waited on hand and foot.
I'll keep you all updated on that one though, lol.
Anyway a big wave and a hello to you all. |

hi tina! we've been abroad many times for xmas and new year.. it sure beats cold, rainy, snowy, damp weather over here! it feels a bit odd though, seeing xmas decorations up when it's so hot and sunny. and a very good plus is not having to cook xmas dinner, wash up etc.. !! my kids don't seem to mind one bit, we usually let them take a few pressies to open there, and either open the rest before we go, or, if we're feeling mean!! make them wait till we get back home!!the definite worst bit of it is coming home!!! doesn't take too many guesses as to why! i'd say give it a go, what have you got to lose?if you're not keen , don't do it again, but i reckon you'll be hooked! |

Sara i will show my other half you post when he gets home. That should really sway him into booking to go on christmas eve. The thought of this country any time of year puts me off. Im starting to hate this weather.
All it did yesterday was pee down.....and that was meant to be the first day of summer as well.
Sara what is the best place to go at christmas then? Im going back to the Tenerife Princess which is very expensive, but i wouldnt mind trying another 4T hotel half to full board.
On christmas day and boxing day are the shops open? Puba and bars as well or is it just the hotels? i feel sorry for the poor buggers that have to work and wait on us hand and foot |

hi tina , sorry it's taken me so long to reply...my computer is going mad!! i can't always post for some reason, it's been like it for a few days... have you had any probs, or is it just me??
for the past 3 years we have been going to the jardin isla bonita hotel in adeje ( yes rob, i know i asked about it, i just wanted to see if you thought it was ok!! ). it's a 4* and we always go A/I, which is great for the kids, the rooms need a bit of updating, this makes it seem a bit more 3*+but they are nice and roomy, and everything else is fine. plenty of activities for the kids ( and adults if you can tear yoursen away from sunbathing!!) it's in a very nice area, not any noise nearby,( except for the road outfront if your room is facing that way). we went on NYD this time, all the xmas deco's were still up for a good few days afterwards and the shops and bars round and about were open. we have gone over xmas and it's always been really nice. as we never left the hotel on xmas day and boxing day , i honestly don't know if the shops were open, but i wouldn't have thought so....we've never had a bad holiday here, but reviews can be a bit hit and miss... go on, go for it- you'll love it...just imagine xmas day legged out on the duque beach...can't think of anywhere else i'd rather be!! |

Hi Sara
I did wonder where you had got too, lol. My computer has been so very slow and ive been booted off a dozen or more times today
Thanks for your input. I cant find this hotel on the aol internet search. Have you by any chance got a link i can have a lookie lookie at
Not really worried about how the rooms look as long as they are clean and have none of those pesky cock roach things i hear so much about. Least i didnt see any at the Tenerife Princess or id have booked out and lived with the tramps, lol.
Anyways, nice to know you are back on line and i do hope you get the computer sorted soon?
BTW did you sunbathe today? i managed to get 3 hours of really nice warm sun and all my lovely colour came back. Then the heavens opened and its been peeing down ever since. Typicl british weather for you |

...sunbathe?? every time i whipped off my cardi ( no not a knitted one made by granny- a sweatshirt kinda one . eh? you know what i mean) it did what is normal for here...it peed it down!
btw , has anyone else seen the tramp lady(?) walking around pdla when they've been there? the last time we saw her we couldn't get over the fact that as all of her clothes were caked in muck, her hair was matted etc. she had a brand new pair of nike trainers on!! had some kindly person given her them?? i always want to give her some euros, but i'm a chicken ,she might be offended and kick my a**!!
i should say sorry that this is under introductions- it should have gone under chit-chat...but i didn't 'cos i clicked on the wrong forum and it took soooo long to type. i'm too exhausted now to re-type it all. slapped hands for sara. |

I didnt see her when i was there sara but we saw a tramp with a shopping trolly that had a mumma doggie and 2 pups in it. made me wanna cry as you could tell he wanted to sell the pups. If that happened in the UK all hell would break loose. In all my life ive never seen anything like it before. Really spoilt my evening that did. Guess im just too soft at heart.
Id never give money to tramps as half the time you will find they have more than we do. I bet that woman paid for those Nike trainers herself. The best hing you did was chicken out.
Saying that i do give to the homeless over here. Especially the ones selling the Big Issue as they are the ones that really are helping themself.
Yeah sara i have a cardi like yours i think. Only get it out in winter, lol.Put it away yesyerday as well ...............Guess winter is here to stay again. Oh deep joy....... another year with no sun. Now we are the lucky ones. |
