I see these guys coming in to land there most days Karl and have often wondered about having a go?

Have you tried it yet? Do you know any more information about it?

Me tried it. You must be joking no way I hate heights at the best of times.

I have a tiny flyer that Clare picked up and I knew some others had asked about it before.

Are you gonna have a go then Dave, you can give us a wave when you are 5 miles up in the sky with only a piece of cloth to hold you from hitting the ground at 300 miles per hour lol.

I really do fancy trying it but two things put me off. There are power lines that run across the car park where they land at the tropicana. The other thing I think about is the fact that if you miss the car park you will hit one of two things - The TF1 or a bloody massive cactus.

I may still try it though and get sponsorship for K9 or similar charity.

I´ve done it and got my licence. It´s a fantastic experience although it can be quite cold at this time of year. The canopies are very manoeverable and you land very softly and can pick a very small spot to do it. At first you either fly tandem (you just run at the start and finish and let someone else pilot the wing) or after very small training flights you have a radio and are given instructions the whole time.

Oh yes, Karl if you fall from a great height you don´t exceed 120 MPH

Thanks for that Rob I will let you all know if and when I decide to do it. I am not scared of heights at all I have done parascending off the back of a boat many times and been dropped from the freefall at the sky park.

I have down it from the back of a boat and it was fantastic....Hubby used to do sky diving and was part of a parachute display team...for a few years....he also was an instructor...

I am slightly to scared to have a go at this though

you can't sky dive from the back of a boat so what exactly were you doing in the back of a boat strips? 'It' covers many things....

Go on Stripps have a go. After all as Rob said if worst comes to the worst you'll only hit the floor at 120mph.

Or as Dave suggested you may find yourself dodging traffic on the TF1 (very funny Dave I almost spat my Mince Pie and Cream out when I read that)
