If you give us more information then we can give you some more ideas. What do you want to be near? Rural or Urban? Do you want busy or quite?
Do you want to live on a compex? Are you happy to live amongst holiday makers? |

Being near British.......well you may aswell stay in UK....lol
But...there are many areas stretching right the way along from Los Gigantes all the way through to El Medano......These places all have a Brit community but differ a lot in area...landscape.....beaches....touristic....pretty and so on....
What is your budget?? that could close the search slightly..... _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

Hi Paul and welcome to our forum.
As the others say, you need to tell us more before we can help. It will also not just depend on the area but also the complex if you only want Brits around you as some complexes are mainly British, some mainly Spanish and other mixed or other nationalities. If you buy an apartment on a mainly Spanish complex, then remember that any community meetings will be in Spanish. I live on a majority English complex and they have their meetings in English, which makes it easier if you don't speak Spanish and want to be part of decision making on the complex. |

So... to repeat Rob's question, 'How many bedrooms?'
In a tourist area, or in the sticks?
Swimming pool?
Complex or private property?
Will you want to rent it out?
Furnished or unfurnished?
We need to know ALL this before giving advice! _________________ Buy & Sell your stuff online FREE - www.canarianexchange.com - eBay for the Canaries |

Hi,
Personally I would recommend Los Cristianos it is near fellow brits and has all amenities, good public transport, police, schools etc and good beaches and the property here generally maintains its value or more.
In Los Cristianos you have everything at your fingertips |

True,
Los Cristianos is quite expensive it took me more than 6 months to find an affordable place to buy that was ok I walked round and round taking down all the private for sale numbers and searched through the El Baul spanish paper for private sales I found that most of the estate agents were really over priced for what they were selling and their answer was always "It-s Los Cristianos what do you expect" as they were counting the 0-s on the price.
But eventually I found a nice two bed in the centre of the town in a quiet area with two huge terraces for 150,000 euros so I think it was a good buy, I -m very happy with it and it was well worth all the searching round town. |
