I take it you're looking for something second hand, but there's an electrical shop opp McDonalds and a couple of doors down from Biombo in Las Chafiras that I saw selling end of line washing machines for as little as €190. Has to be a bargain... _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

It is also the worse shop here that I have encountered to date.....I had a real problem when my DVD player broke after 5 months and was still under guarantee....got it sorted in the end..but it was very bad... _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

I suppose its true that price nearly always goes hand in hand with service, but I try not to let that stop me chasing a bargain.
So how did you get it sorted then strippers? Did you camp outside the shop with a placard until they gave in? _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

NO lol...I actually phoned Rob and asked how I stand on it legally lol....then I told the I wanted a complaints form, to which they said they didn.t have any....I then said I would denounce them....the complaints form rapidly came out ...I also kept asking for the service report (as I was told it had been sent away to be fixed)...they didn't have this either...
I eventually said so how do I know that you sent if off to be fixed...it could have stayed in the shop and you are lying....I swiftly got my refund and left lol
They did not want to exchange it, would not give me a refund, only wanted tp give me a credit not..(like I want anything else from there)..in the end I found it hilarious...lol
Not shopping there again though _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

He he, nice one. A threat of filing a "Hojas de Reclamaciones" really does the job. They're so scared that the police will turn up and close em down!
I would make a point of asking for one more often when experiencing crap service, but I can never pronounce the damn thing _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

When I first moved into this house we had to buy EVERYTHING electrical and we went to Ferrocris. After ordering about 3000€ worth of stuff, one item of which was a very expensive washing machine that was advertised at a reduced price on offer, we went to the checkout to pay with the salesman only to be told by him that we couldn't have the offer price for the washer because they were delivering it and the delivery date was when the offer had finished...
I informed him that if we didn't get the offer I wouldn't be buying any of the stuff there, as I could get it all elsewhere for less... but he wouldn't budge.
So... Ferrocris lost 3000€ worth of sales and I got exactly the same stuff a lot cheaper from the little electrical shop on the main road in La Camella (opposite the main road junction to Arona, if anyone's interested).
The moral is, try out the little local shops too, as they're often a lot cheaper than you'd expect. _________________ Buy & Sell your stuff online FREE - www.canarianexchange.com - eBay for the Canaries |
