Interesting... Gold FM isn't on your spectrum... I'd be interested to see what their signal strength is, as they are the only English station I can get all the time - even when I'm going through the tunnels, strangely enough, on my drive from Los Cris to Chio.

Happy days, but I'm glad I left before the whole engineering side of the business was privatised and sold off. | I mainly worked out of the GLR building at Marlybone High Street, but occasionally did stuff at Great Portland Street and the local stations around the south east. A very good friend of mine still works for the World Service... in fact it was because I went on holiday with him and his bloke when we worked together that I decided to emmigrate!!! _________________ Buy & Sell your stuff online FREE - www.canarianexchange.com - eBay for the Canaries |

I've updated the image to include a pointer to the Gold FM transmission. Their 98.2 signal is not that great with me, although it can be improved by optimising the position of the receive aerial.
I suspect that they will be using a number of transmitter locations to achieve the good coverage you are experiencing and that your car radio is switching automatically to the best signal using an RDS feature called the "alternate frequency" list.
Another fine invention from the BBC.....
