For anyone at a loose end on Friday with an interest in flying radio control model aircraft, you might want to consider attending the "Festival de Aeromodelismo" on Friday at the the Tenerife model flying club site. Location details (about 3km inland from the Granadilla industrial area) can be found on the club website at:-

It starts at 1030, and includes a fair selection of jet powered scale models. I have no idea how good the event is likely to be as I have only just joined the club, but nothing ventured........

A little more info below in case you are tempted. I'm sure you find a 16kg jet powered DC 10 airliner (& the twin turbine F18) a major step up from balsa & rubber bands!

El Festival consistirá en un Concurso de Maquetas y Semimaquetas en el cual podrán participar cuantos socios quieran con maquetas en orden de vuelo, se entregará un trofeo al mejor vuelo y a la mejor maqueta, en los aparcamientos habituales junto al acceso a la zona de boxes, se instalará una carpa para guardar y proteger dichos modelos.
El horario del Festival será desde las 10,30 horas hasta las 14,00 horas, estando todos los modelos operativos y totalmente equipados a las 10,00 h, los vuelos se realizaran libremente, teniendo especial cuidado con el tema de FRECUENCIAS, para ello se seguirán las instrucciones del coordinador de pista. Después de las 14,00 horas, los vuelos serán totalmente libres.
Se celebrará un almuerzo a las 15,00 horas para socios y familiares directos (1er grado) e invitados por la organización, dicho almuerzo tendrá un coste de diez euros (10 €) por persona, por dicho motivo necesitamos la confirmación de asistencia antes del día 30 de noviembre. No se admitirán al almuerzo las reservas posteriores. El pago del mismo se realizará directamente en las instalaciones.
