Tonight we ordered a curry from Roys takeaway.

Coming from Rusholme in Manchester I am quite picky about my curry's, sauces, breads etc.

I have to say the food was quite excellent. The sauces were fresh and spicy as described.

The currys were well flavoured and not greasy. The sauce was delicious and the meat was tender and non fatty.

We had, 2 papadoms, vegetable samosas, chilli sauce, lime sauce, 3 chapatti's, vegetable biryani, chicken tikka masala and a portion of rice.

It was just under 30 euros and took an hour 10 mins to Callao Salvaje on a Saturday night.

Sorry Karl, but I fail to see where your claim to being an expert in Indian food comes from. You arrive in Tenerife from Manchester via Brighton and that gives you the qualifications? Having lived in Rusholme gives you an honours in Indian culinary? If you came straight out of Bombay I would understand your claim.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your meal, however.

No worries Tenerife Seagull everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am no expert you are 100% correct. You have a fantastic Christmas too.

And Rob I almost ordered the Lamb tikka but took the more safe choice of Chicken. Glad I did.

Maybe we were just unlucky but before we went away over Christmas we fancied a curry as we hadn't had one for ages. The one we used to order from must have closed as phone didn't work so I thought we'd try Roys. It took a long time to get it and the Naan's were all burnt underneath. Such a shame as we were so looking forward to it.

ave to say I haven’t tried Roys in a long time, but I do love Star of INDIA in apollo centre the food is great yum-yum, and they do home delivery too!!

With all this talk about Indian food I could just go a nice Chicken tikka masala.

and heres me eating my jacket potatoe and cottage cheese ! mind you i've stuck to my new years resolution so far (lets forget the first week of the new year when i munched my through the leftovers of chocolate and biscuits hehe)....

star of india im sure we went there they did a buffet it was lovely yum yum! x

Yeah that’s the place Ezzy... last summer me and my hubby along with a group of friends would go beaching on Sundays and late afternoon go to Star of India for the buffet, I can tell you after the day at the beach it was lush munching into all the food! yummmy...

I know what Im having for dinner tonight.... Laughing
