I like this site too as it has a novel way of displaying the various flight prices in a graph format for ease of comparison. Sometimes though you can get the same flite slightly cheaper through the particular airline's website direct.
Some of the more popular websites offering cheap direct flights from the south are:
www.ba.com
www.xl.com
www.avro.co.uk
www.flyglobespan.com
www.teletickettravel.com
www.flymonarch.com
www.cheapestflights.co.uk
www.flythomascook.com
If you are after one way flights, you are often hard pushed to beat the Tenerife based flight shops, especially for flights back to the UK. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

from Newcastle Jet2 only fly Saturday and Tuesday the people we rent off only rent Friday to Friday so if you fly Saturday you loose a day and then have to hang about for a day comming back suppose it is ok for those people who own on the island and can go when they please. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

The way we look at it we live approx 20-30 mins from newcastle airport so in travel time and cost it is just the same flying from newcastle
we normally fly with thomas cook as they have entertainment we have flown with cheaper operators found it a bore as i can't read whilst flying so the back of a seat only has so many paterns and lines, just prey for the day easyjet do tenerife as i will get family discount so it will be even cheaper than the cheapest and i would put up with being bored _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

| The nearest easy jet airport to us would be Liverpool but if i was saving a couple of hundred pounds for a family then it would be worth the trip over to liverpool, dont know why easy jet or ryan air havent done this. |

easyjet class tenerife as long haul it has been looked into but still in consultation
will get my son to look into it again as easy jet fly to budapest which is about 3hr45-4 hr flight from newcastle so an extra 40 mins shoud be nothing
it is to do with the crews flying hours if there is a delay it could mean some crew going over flying time and off loading themselves or easyjet paying for accomodation which must be 4 star plus expences for crew this has happendto jonathan twice
The air companys we know make so much money jonathan has been picked up at home tyneside and taxied to luton 4-4.30 hour drive as there has been no staff to crew the flight to paris got there to find they had found a crew member to do the flight what a waste of money he was taken by road as easy jet don't fly to luton from newcastle only to stansted mind you it was 3.30 in th emorning so no flights anyway _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

For the past 5 years, Easyjet has had absolutely no intentions of ever running planes to Tenerife.
Everyone forgets that British Airways 'Go' (remember the one with the annoying advert jingle?) were bought out by Easyjet in about 2002. The first thing they did was cut the Tenerife route, on the grounds that it didn't make a profit.
Their attitude might slowly be changing now though, as demand for flights to Tenerife has doubled or trebled (like all of Spain) due to the British owner property boom. I still wouldn't bet on Easyjet starting a route here anytime soon though. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

Yes, it would certainly be nice if they did start the route again, as I would quite enjoy bagging €2,99 plus tax flights each way. Easyjet generally run routes where there isn't too much cheap competition though, as the way they make their money is by selling off the last minute seats at premium prices. There are so many airlines now operating to Tenerife that I wonder whether they would only sell the bargain bucket seats and be left with half full planes.
Comments on a postcard please.....! _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
