 Post subject: storms in tenerife |

...i've read that the canaries are going to be hit badly by storms over the weekend?? any sign of it yet?? when we were over ( on the 12th i think) it was windy like i've never seen it before...chairs, sunbeds tables blowing all about, and loads of other damage to the hotel...hope the weather predicted for over the weekend there is not too bad!! |

| I think storm is a bit of an exaggeration. there is a fair bot of rain and it is pretty windy. It is supposed to clear after tomorrow. On the whole we can't complain as it has been a pretty settled winter so far. |

Twas a tad windy to be sure. I had the misfortune on Saturday to have to catch a Gua Gua for the first time in ages, and it was so windy the water was actually seeping in through the windows! And then the bus driver overshot the bus stop by, oh I don't know, about half a mile !!! so by the time I walked back, I looked like a drowned rat! Won't be going on one of those again...

I don’t know why but when we get a tad of bad weather here its a Storm I mean please we were on Red alert and everything...for some wind and rain....all because we aren’t use to it and the islands cant take it everywhere floods as soon as a rain drop falls people cant drive properly (have they ever done that here  ) mayor problem is they build in barrancos and this causes nature to find other ways for the rain to run down to the sea.... as the ground cant soak it up fast enough.... |
