Thank you all for replies and advise. I am deterimined that the Spanish study will be my top priority. I have been listening to Spanish people talking, can get a Spanish channel on Sky, and it all seems so fast. Instead of sentances they seem to have just one long word.

I guess it is just a matter of practice. I don't want my first words to any Spanish person to be 'Can you speak English?'

lol you'll get there ive recently started my venture with regards to learning spanish and i have to agree everything sounds like my long word he he im sure we'll get there...

Time is pressing on. The house sale is set for the end of Feb. Can't book tickets and sort out transport for the dog until it's sold as I won't have the funds until then. Handed in my notice so no going back now.

Loads of things being dumped and stored, going to be travelling light.

Anybody transported a dog from UK to Tenerife? Any tips would be appreciated.

My Spanish is not progressing that well. I think my brain is full and just can't store any more information.

Try and relax a little lol....all these things that look stressful now will all fade away. When you get here you will look back and think gee....I made it.

Then you will be able to help others by giving your advise on here...

Can't wait. I will be willing to help anyone, just need to survive the next month.

I'm looking forward to getting everything unpacked and put away, make sure nothing is leaking, making sure the mortgage and the community charges etc have been paid, and if there is any money left going to get a nice cold one or two. And if any one wishes to join me it would be great, I'll let you know where and when.

Seems a long way off, but I'll get there.
