I see my idea has gone down a storm by the number of replies.

Either my Spanish is too bad or too good and I think it is probably the first so I will explain in English just in case my bad spanish put anyone off.

Anyone fancy having a chat in Spanish on the forum? How about we pick a different subject each week or month and discuss it at whatever level we are at. I mentioned picking Cranaval for a starting subject and then babbled about it a bit.

Please respond some one.

I think you've done very well there and I have changed a few things I thought needed changing. Well done, I am impressed

Muchas Gracias.

Mannhoole, your Spanish is very good I too was impressed, I have corrected somethings for you...and I'm sure Jenny will agree that if she or anybody else corrects its not a hassle for us at all but do it to help you, although at the rate your going you dont need a lot of help....

I am not sure on this but I think that trabajo is a noun and therefore as it is not describing something the gender of whose work it is therefore won't be applicable but that is just a guess.

trabajo is a verb from the word trabajar....to work...or to labour...

I as a female trabaja....and you would therefore trabajo....

In the sentence mannhoole wrote he used trabajo as a noun: tu trabajo es traducir = your job is translating.

If it were used as a verb it would be Jenny trabaja de traductora or tu trabajas de traductora (or ella trabaja de traductora).

So you are both right. Star pupils Wink

Su and tu are the same - Tu is familiar and Su is more formal. I am sure someone will clarify if I got that wrong.

No Problems Stripps I am always getting things wrong so it wouldn't be a big suprise.

It's half the fun making mistakes.
