I expect that these questions have been asked many times before, but nevertheless here goes;

Could you please help? I have been to Spain many times, but never to Tenerife. Could someone please give me an idea of the weather in January/February?

Also, could someone advise me of which resorts to find out about? We're looking for a quiet chill out holiday, with good food, nice views, strolls along the beach. We are not looking to interact with yoofs clubbin, drinkin, and pukin!

In January and Feb we do get rain here but there is also plenty of sunshine and warm weather.

I would suggest that Puerto de la Cruz might suit you. You would want to avoid Las Americas.

I would suggest Los Cristianos, much more popular than Puerto, especially for self catering accommodation, a lot nearer to everything than Puerto. Weather is usually nicer in the south too.

Los Cristianos has everything you've mentioned, ie promedade, great food both in the town and just out of town, there's also the swallows club which meets every week (basically lots of over 60's doing what they do).
