Have read all the posts regarding this matter of wages, and I have to agree with Funky and others, that there are manners and etiqutte involved in life. I thin it's more thasn cheeky to ask what people are earning (even if thath person being asked does not mind informing others), and that if you are thinking of relocating to another country you should do your research thoroughly beforehand.

If it's any consolation to anybody I earn £90,000 per week and ply my trade int the permier league for Chelsea (I wish!!)

Agreed Cymro there are certain manners and etiquette involved in life but what are they?

Everyones values, opinions and expectations are different and what some see as ok others will find as rude.

I am the first to hold my hands up, as a newbie on the forum over a year ago I must have asked some ridiculous questions that I probably could have found out answers to had I done some research or yes.....got off my lazy behind.

I thought it was cheeky asking about wages, Nickbeans thought it was ok.

That does not make me right and Nickbeans wrong, so at the end of the day if you want to tell Nick what you earn and doing what go ahead if you don't then don't. And just looking back I think Tony hit the nail on the head, answer it or ignore it.

I don't think that Nickbeans was trying to be nasty, I just took it as good humoured jousting and banter, and I replied in kind. I would hope that Nickbeans also took it that way. I think it was Tony who misinterpeted the replies as being nasty, but lots of new members take a while to get their heads around our robust forum style, whether its from Rob subtly telling new members to stop asking stupid questions and go check the stickies first, or Karl and Dave having some friendly banter, or Jama trying his hardest to offend every female on the planet.
