 Post subject: Cloud Forest in Aguamansa pic |

This is where I went on Saturday afternoon and at times the cloud was so thick my clothes were soaked and cars on the road needed their headlights on. About 20 minutes away back on the bus all was hot and sunny and dry in Puerto!
This forest in Aguamansa is some of the only remaining ancient woodland of this type in Europe and is really magical! The air is scented with pine resin and the smell of damp moss, Old Man's Beard lichen hangs from the branches and in clearings when the cloud lifts there are hundreds of grasshoppers and butterflies!

 hi bard!!
..i really like the top photo of the woods, it does look magical!! and , no, i haven't been on the double lumumbas!!! it looks like summat out of harry potter!!.
...next time i'm in the reef i want to visit some of the places you've shown, but hopefully i won't come across any of those giant flappy things that you featured a while ago. good work bard, keep the photos and info. coming........  |

Well, there are flappy things there but I don't know if you mind the type I saw which were Red Admiral and Speckled Wood butterflies and dragonflies!
