Hullo guys! i was wondering if you could help me it would be very much appreciated :O) i've been looking on ebay for a sim card to use while in tenerife and wondered which simcard to get theres seems to be movistar, orange and vodafone sims which is best?

as were both on 02 we'll need to get our phones unlocked before we come anyway

If you check the search you'll see that everyone has their own opinion as to which is best. In our company we all use vodafone.

yeah ive just realised i was using the search facility and it didnt come back with what i had in mind so i manually searched the topics myself and its seems everyones views differ.

i dont ring a lot and i doubt i will on the island i would rater text how much are these generally charged at when your texting someone on the island?

It depends on which tarif you select but i think about 14 cents.

Vodaphone is usually brilliant abroad.. My brother uses it in Australia, get FREE calls to ENGLAND!! I used Vodaphone in Malta and Rob said he uses it in Tenerife..

i know jen i just want to pick one thats cheap to send text messages to people around the island. i can call home from a payphone now and then and use email/myspace etc.

though a friend out in tenerife recommends using a vodafone contract but i dont know because im sure you have to stay with them for a min of 12 months?
