i have heard from them, they havent given me a rate but its useless using them till i have a bank set up and i cant set one up without a NIE number - rollseyes

i give up ive drank to much to think haha x

you CAN have a bank account without an NIE. It can all be worked out. I suggest that you bring enough money to get you started, say for 2 weeks max. Once you are here I can get you an account immediately then you can order your bank to send the funds having previously made the arrangements in the UK. Within 5 working days the funds will be available in your bank here.

OOOOHHHH brilliant rob, cheers for the advice unfortunately i wont be able to set it up before i leave the uk though as we wont have a bank account till we arrive. knowing me i'm reading it wrong but its great to know we can open a bank account without having to do all the additional things first.

God save me from blondes.....You CAN make arrangements before you leave.... you just have to tell them what you want and then when your bank account here is open you can contact global and say ok release my funds....simple.
