me and paul rolled into a cafe after a night out on the tiles a few weeks back and while we sat and waited for food to take home i started reading the menu...as i often repeat myself when ive had a few to many i started to read the menu out loud in spanish and make paul guess what i was saying, as he hadnt a clue and i just kept repeating the words till he knew which vegetable or type of meat i was on about i woke the following morning with the words pollo, queso, lechuga, jamon, huevo, jamon con queso etc etc stuck in my head....it tickles me to know that some of my bad drunken habits have their advantages _________________ facebook me - esmahan hassan |

Thats good to hear Ezzy, well done.
Some people would have just said 'wheres the English menu?'

I don't drink very often...but when i first moved over here I was really worried about talking spanish....I did how ever find that after a few beers I was fluent lol...
It was a confidence thing with me ...beer made me relax and not worry about getting it wrong. Now I speak it when ever I can and am improving all the time...
Not that you should always get drunk to speak spanish ..but it does help a little.. _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

Well done Ezzy. Keep it for special occasions (or at least weekends) and it's much more fun (and cheaper as you don't need to drink so much ) _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17

Good one Ezzy. Better still, you could tell Paul that he's only allowed to look at a Spanish menu and order in Spanish. After going hungry a few times, or perhaps ending up with a caesar salad instead of the steak that he wanted, he'll soon learn the menu like the back of his hand... And think how much money you'll save on food in the meantime! _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
