Well I think now that I am so hot that it hurts I do not like this weather.

It was 48 degs in san isidro yesterday and everyone came down to the golf for the cool air......our luck ran out last night...the winds came down and we had horrid over night temps of about 33 degs.

It was 35 at 8.30am and getting hotter as the day goes on

I have had to close all the doors and windows to keep the air OUT. The fans are all going at full speed....the animals look half dead....the kids are moaning.

Tenerife has been put to Orange alert due to temps ovver 45 degs and low humidity...and high risks or fires.

thats my moan for the day

I know we are lucky not to have all the rain the UK is having, but the heat just about did me in yesterday too Stripps, that and the humidity.

Just finished stacks of ironing started on it really early to try and avoid to much heat, but I am still REALLY hot.

Very Happy Very Happy

Strips, how are Earth are you keeping your sanity? I would go completely deranged in temperatures like that. It must be extremely uncomfortable, even to those who are to elevated temperature climates. Here you go, my Dear, help yourself to an ice-cold, refreshing glass of beer. I've just bought from the bar for you.. x

Here are a couple of simple tips to help to cool the house. If you have fans then hang a wet cloth behind them so that they take the air from around it, it will dry out quite quickly so keep wetting it. If you have tiled floors then wash the floors with plenty of water, as it evaporates it uses heat from the house thereby cooling the house.

It is hot but trust me when you have to jump in a car with no air con there is no comparison lol. I would actually like to know what hot it actually is in there.

I have read that in Tenerife this year there are going to be record temperatures exceeding 50 degrees!!!!

You can post on there yes.....Most of the oldies stay away...lol

You can chat on there but obviously it is youngsters so be tame..lol

My house is nice and cool now...although I am not goingoutside. We have a pool party to go to at 2pm so that will be me for the day..lol

I would definately swap rain for this heat....i would rather get wet than get so dry that your nose, mouth and everything else feels like sand paper.

I must be very lucky, it's a gorgeous day here, 3 of us in the office with a fan on but no aircon....very comfortable and outside temp is 31 dgrees; not measured in a proper Stevensons box so probably showing higher than it actually is. Andy lives just a few minutes away and he has hot winds and higher temperatures. The devil looking after his own......?
