Hello all

I need a fax machine pref with a phone and answer machine.

If anyone has one for sale please pm me or if you can recommend somewhere that would be good also.

You can buy new for about 50 or 60 Euros in Carrefour although with most of the cheaper ones the small ink film that is supplied runs out after a few day and it costs 30 E for a full sized one.

You can also get fax programmes for your computer - I've used one before. As long as you have a scanner then no need for different cartridge as you just use your printer.

I have a fax programme but cannot use via ADSL and a router. I need to be plugged directly into the phone line and use my modern. Which I cannot be bothered to do lol

If you search on the internet there are several web based fax solutions that you can use, that will allow people to send you faxes and they are stored online. They will also allow you to send faxes via your computer.

I have a scanner / printer / fax all in one and it has a seperate socket for telephone so I can recieve faxes while my computer is switched off

Thanks Simbrook, think thats what I am after something I can just plug into the tel socket.

Dont think I can get an English fax machine as well as the connector being different is prob wont recognise the diff between an incoming tel call from a fax call. o/w would have got one off ebay.

And before anyone says anything I cant use spanish ebay because my spanish is 'malo' lol

Well I opted for an online service about £35 per year with 50 faxes.

If anyone else wants a fax service without a fax machine then have a look at www.popfax.com

The only thing I was not happy about was I could not get a 922 number so had to settle for a 920 one instead.

920 or 902? Does this mean that your tel no is changed as well?

No tel number is not affected the fax number has been given to me by the provider of this service.

They receive the fax and generate a pdf which they email to me.

If I am sending they receive my .doc or .pdf and send it to the fax machine number I have given.

I have no idea how they work it, they must purchase fax numbers from major countries all over the world or have some system in place as I got my own personal fax number within seconds.

I've got a Telefonica Novofax OL 110, its made by Olivetti it takes ordinary A4 paper, plugs straight into the wall and needs electric to power it.
Yours if you want it for 25€.
If you copy and paste the link below it tells you about it and show you pictures but it is in Spanish.
I'm in Palm Mar by the way.
