Hi!!!
Well Ill be going on my own so all I will need will be a one bed apartment/studio. My budget will roughly be around 100-150 a week!
Would prefer if it was in Los Cristianos! In regards of work, I can waitress, do bar work, work in a kitchen, work in a shop basically anything! I can only speak very basic Spanish though! Will this affect me in terms of looking for work? I am 18, female and Irish! Would be really grateful if you could help me in any way!! Cheerz |

Hi there,
There is a estate agents across the rd from the Columbus apartments in las Americas about a 10 min walk from Las Vistas Beach in Los Cris, they have many apartments in that area with reasonable prices.
It is underneath a residential block called Las Tajinastes, this is where we rented when we lived there, the block looks a little dated but the apartments are different in standards depending on whom the owner is. 3 sets of our friends and us lived in this block and none of us had any problems at all and the rent was very reasonable.
We paid 430 euros which is about £325 this included bills, we had a 1 bed apt, fully and nicely furnished with a huge balcony over looking the whole resort, we could see the sea, La Gomera and right over to Los Cris, only downfall was the noise;my suggestion would be to get one either on the other side or make sure it has double glazing.
This is a very Central location practically almost inbetween both resorts.
But there was loads around this price range and they do some rentals in Castle Harbour which is the far off side of Los Cris.
It may be better to stay as Central as possible for work to make sure you don't have to walk home late on your own or have to pay for taxis. As you may find work more easier in PDLA.
Try mary rogans irish music pub, nice people to work for ..ask for Collette or Michael, nice little bar to work in www michaelgrahamtenerife.com .
Hope to see you when we are over there Lea x _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

Hi Emma
600 euros per month should get you somewhere in LC. Use the time you have to go around the estate agents and look in the local papers.
Something you may find online will look a lot different in real life.
Before I moved I spent ages looking online for rental properties.. it was a complete waste of time. Most properties had gone as the websites are not kept up to date, some properties dont even make it to the website as they are snapped up very quickly.
Even though I went round the estate agents and left my number I had one call back, over a month later !!!!!!
Go into the estate agents, tell them what you want, tell them your budget and view the properties asap.
Good luck _________________ Need a cleaner in South Tenerife ? Cleaning just got better... www.maid4tenerife.com

Be careful who you say that to! Could get you into trouble
Hi anyways and welcome to our forum. I would spend your first 10 days looking for a place to live and work and maybe a friend to share with as wages here are a lot lower than in UK so paying for a place on your own often eats up a large part of your wages. _________________ Who am I? I will make this day a happy one for I alone can determine what kind of day it will be. |
