Hi to all

Currently learning Spanish with the help of various Linguaphone tapes and just wondered if anyone had any experience with the Rosetta Stone series?

It seems to be pricey but if it works don't knock it?

Obviously the best persons to learn from are the Spanish themselves, but failing that what have been your success stories?

I can't answer your question about that series as I leanrt using the best method (ie from Spanish people).

Have you checked whether there are any Spanish people living or working in your area? Put notices up in Health Centres or supermarkets to try to arrange taking them out for a few drinks in return for Spanish conversation. Obviously you will need to have the basic knowledge before you can do this but it sounds as if you have so try it. It will cost you a lot less than the series you are taking about as the Spanish don't tend to drink quite as much as the Brits Wink Laughing

I will make this day a happy one for I alone can determine what kind of day it will be.

Thanks Jenny

That's a great idea Very Happy

The tapes do get a little monotonous at times and real life conversations are the way to go!

Cheers

And it means that learning can be a lot more fun, depending on the amount of alcohol consumed but you can use it as an excuse to drink more as it stops you worrying about making mistakes!!
