Ohhhh trebs I wish we knew you when we lived out there we would still be there no doubt...

However we know you now so in true positive fashion I know nest time round we WILL succeed !

I also think Treble deserves the champers. If these posts continue I don't think anyone else will ever be winning the champagne!!

Fiona, I am also a believer in thinking positively about everything. What goes around comes around and if you stay positive, then you attract positivity. I know it's hard to be positive sometimes but like Treble says, write a list of positive things and concentrate on and be grateful for those.

I have problems sometimes with Marcos and yesterday wrote a list of things I love about him and for which I am grateful. I showed it to him and he said "That makes a change from all the moaning about everything I do wrong". I decided I have to stop concentrating on what he does wrong (as that's only my opinion) and start being grateful for all his good points.

You have a great family and it's normal for kids to be unhappy when changing school. They are very friendly children and as soon as they get settled I'm sure they will be fine. It won't take long. Children adapt to change quicker than most adults. Don't worry about them as they will pick up on it.

hi ya Fiona.... you've gotta stick at it, girl... you've already done the hardest part, leaving what many would still call a life here in the grim, expensive, rainy, dull, COLD...(do you want me to go on??!) UK!

You can have all that you aspire to have there in Tenerife, because all that you previously knew was UK based & things are easier to get a hold of, you do have to change your perspective on life & whats important to you and of course your family..... If leaving the UK because certain factors we'rent working out or you wanted a better future for your kids & yourselves (& who doesnt!)... then changing your mind and coming back to the UK would only ressurect those demons & before you know it your back at step 1 again!

Your definately strong enough to make it through these minor problems & doubts your having, but you can DO IT!! I'm sure I can speak for all here that everyones behind you here too!!! .... & anyways we wanna be having a few 'Sangria's or 2 in the sun with you when we come out !!!!

These are the sort of things that keep spurring me on at the minute as i suppose i miss having any friends or family to speak to over here and with only one wage coming in that doesn't cover our mortgage i need to pull my finger out pretty sharpish!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you and Kaz see yourselves doing when you get over here?

thanx fiona, i'm feeling alot better now, i had my last visit from my nurse yesterday... kaz has gotta change my nappy now!!! lol but it's as good as healed now... phew!
we're glad youre hopefully gonna be counting us as 1 of your 'local' friends there very soon & we get to hang out too as we're gonna be in the same boat as you, with not knowing really anyone apart from the friends we've luckily made on here.... which we do appreciate, as i'm sure it can seem daunting at 1st.... but thats the same even if you move in UK to a new area, job, school etc. I suppose the postives are what you've gotta be thinking about & we all know they easily out weigh the negatives....!!!

As for what we're gonna be doing, we'll see what possible opportunities arrise when we get there & keep our fingers X'd, as Kaz & I have done completely different things work wise in the past, we're both moving there for a new better life & to make a 100% commitment to Tenerife & our future ... which definatley is not here in the UK... like me, i'm sure you dont really want to come back here....

Kaz (& me!) says we'll def have those drinks v'soon next month & it'll be good to chat & have a laugh!

Good to hear Rich you are on the mend

I have never had an ingrowing hair till i moved here and i have had 2 just recently that i have managed to remove from under the skin but they have really hurt

I put it down to all the shaving us girls have to do out here every few days (anyway lets move onto a lighter note!)

Yeah we will have a meet up for a drink or two when you get here( after all you have to keep your fluid intake up in the sun they say )
