Flying out on Tuesday 18th for one week to look for a 1 bed apartment. Los Cris or Palm Mar. Planning to move from UK mid to end Oct. 2 adults. Anyone know of one coming available. I shall be staying at the Club Tenerife, apt. # 2538. Tel: 922795786.

Question: Can one walk along the coast line from Palm Mar to Los Cristianos?

There's no access around the coastline, as its all craggy rocks. You can walk across the mini-mountain (Guaza) but its a real hike (45 mins - 1 hour).

But of course, they're planning to start a water taxi between the resorts any month now. It should coincide with a large pig flying over the harbour with Elvis on its back. Laughing

Put your jesus boots on, then you can walk ON the water. Try using google maps, it will show you the sheer cliffs.

Regarding your other question about apartments to rent. There will be loads. Just look out for Se Alquila signs in apartment windows or look in the local papers or estate agencies (remember that these may charge a varying finders fee).

Thanks Jenny. Just got back to the UK. Have found an apartment in the El Mirador complex in LC. Went to Palm Mar. It is coming along nicely but too cut off. Any members in El Mirador? We shall be moving end of October.

A friend of mine's parents are staying there on a long let (have been there almost a month) and they love it. It's really quiet there so depends what you want.

I know the area well as I have been going there since 1988. Quiet is what I want. I am 61 and slowing up. I have paid my deposit and will sign up for a 6 month let and take it from there. I shall need to fit a fan. Could you point me in the right direction.

Why not buy a good quality free standing fan that you can move around to where it's needed? The cheap ceiling fans are noisy and not worth buying, around 100 Euros plus fitting is ok. I have a large remote controlled one in my bedroom which on the slowest setting is almost inaudible, it cost 90 Euros from Leroy Merlin in La Laguna.

I would advise you not to drive on the wrong side of the road in Tenerife.....too many accidents caused that way Wink

All the more reason to buy a good floor standing one, you can buy them locally and won't have to drive.
