Oh those BBQ's are sooo funny once forget to take the box off and the wole thing went up in flames, box, tinfoil.... ha ha !

Hopi ear candles is

the 'candles' are hollow tubes made in the traditional Hopi Indian way by using a combination of herbal extracts such as Sage, Chamomile and St John's Wort, which are blended in honey, organically grown linen and beeswax.

During the treatment the candle is placed gently but firmly in the ear creating a seal and held in position. The candle is lit and the heat from the flame creates a mild suction, like a chimney effect, by which the debris can be drawn out of the ear. The mild heat stimulates the blood and lymph circulation which boosts the immune system, and the body's natural cleansing action - which helps even the pressure in the sinuses. As the candle burns, deposits are carried away in the smoke or left condensed in the base of the candle. The client may hear a crackling sound from the burning candle and experience a warming sensation, as it has a filter system no residue can enter the ear, so there is no chance of being burnt. A warm sensation is felt but the effect is gentle and relaxing.

After the first candle has been removed the procedure is repeated for the other ear. Even if the other ear is not causing a problem, both ears are treated to ensure balance is maintained.

Many people report an immediate release of pressure in their head after just one treatment session, although this depends on the condition. Most people need between one and three treatments.

It helps :

The treatment is very relaxing and as well as providing relaxation and stress relief it can help such conditions as sinusitis, rhinitis, hay fever, balancing inner ear problems, tinnitus, headaches, migraines, ear wax, hearing difficulties, meunieres disease. It is not suitable where there is any ear infection, for perforated eardrums or where grommets are in place. It is an excellent alternative to ear syringing.
