Don't stop now folks, this is great, informed, sensible opinions. Hopefully you'll see some changes soon.
Also, I've just had three hours with an intelligent, articulate tax advisor. Something that's very hard to come by on the island, I'll know the results of some questions I've posed next week. I'll keep you informed as this could be very useful to all concerned. |

Wow! I turn my back for a few days and look what happens.
I've read the comments and I think that you guys are too serious for me. I now feel that I cannot be my usual self on here. I am always looking for an excuse to be flippant, but I also get a kick from helping people.
After discovering what I thought was an excellent forum, I'll have to leave it for fear of giving further offence. I'll get my coat. It was nice knowing some of you, even if only briefly.

No one has said that you gave offence, you answered the question which was asked and of course we could all see the humour in your answer but offensive, I don't think so. I don't think anyone wants this forum to be deadly serious but I do think that the general opinion is that it can get out of hand, the things that seem to get on peoples goat the most is..smiley only posts, text talk, and highjacking a thread and taking it away from the original point. I can't remember you doing any of that, so why you have decided to stop contributing to this forum is beyond me. If anything that I have posted on this thread has offended you or brought you to your decision I can only apologise and hope that you decide to stick around |

If you read the replies, everyone Inc the original poster agrees your reply was extremely funny and in no way offensive. For example my reply states...

I LOVED your post. Honestly had me chuckling for ages!!! 
The "serious" comments were not aimed at you at all. They were aimed at other members who have either peed people off over the months or came on and messes about.
