Post Post subject: Caravan Las Galletas £14K Reply with quote

This message is mainly to Samanthapom if she still uses this site, which I am sure she will as it is a great forum Very Happy

I am the SteveHull who started this thread, and my mission to come to Tenerife is still ongoing by the way, although there is competition with Gibraltar (another story!)

There was a caravan for sale which came up on Daltons Properties for £14K with the extension built on. This was up for sale for £28K earlier in the year, and wondered whether you knew anything about the circumstances. It said on the ad that the owners were returning to the UK and were selling it at a "silly price".

The ad only appeared for a few hours then disappeared.

Any info you might have would be most appreciated.

N.B. Question for all, has the pedestrianisation along the front from Veronicas towards Adeje way been completed yet?

Think it was probably a typo on the original advert as Rob said, only one available now is £64K, very pricey. Sad

Last year we saw a caravan for sale on a site at Guia de Isora.

The site had a swimming pool which looked quite nice, but after requesting more pictures, the site looked very crowded and the caravan was of the Gypsy/Fairground type. The caravans were so close to each other that you could probably hear the conversations, in the van next door.

The site was called Camping el Castillo de Himiche.
Does anyone know of this site, as Camping Nauta at Las Galletas is the only official site listed.

We visited Nauta about 2 years ago, but decided that purchasing bricks & mortar is probably a better option.

Just curious though!

Hi there

Camping Nauta has changed / improved a lot over the last few years, with I understand more improvements planned.

I know someone who lives on the Guia de Isora site and I know he and his wife are very happy there. If you have any specific questions, I can find out for you.

Thanks for your reply sgd,

It was Jan 2005 when we visited, they were in the process of opening up a new area for the static caravans and it did look like it was going to be very well done with nice sized plots and roadways and street lighting etc.

We just thought that as we are thinking of moving to Tenerife to retire, Nauta could be a bit remote.

We still have a couple of years to find our new home, so are looking at all the possibilities.

Hi Jenny, thanks for your reply.

As I said, we were curious.

The photographs of and around the 'van for sale did not do the site any favours at all.

Although one photograph showed a very nice pool area, so we wondered if there was a nicer area for the residents in static caravans, with larger plots than the ones shown.

The advert stated that there was a secure electronic entrance, so it did seem like a good caravan park.

Also, do you know roughly where the site is in relation to Guia de Isora? The write-up said 3 km from the town, but not in which direction.

Can't find anything Rob.

I've also tried searching the area with google earth, Nauta is easy to pick out, the swimming pool, reception, caravans and holiday log cabins are quite clear.

Cannot find anything that resembles a Caravan Park around Guia though.

Not to worry, it may be worth checking out when we are over next year.
