Post subject: Spanish TV from within the UK |
|
|
Does anyone know of a way of viewing Spanish TV from within the UK for the purpose of 'Learning Spanish'?
I know through my Sky Box I can tune to Channel 795 (TVIE) but most of the content is too fast speaking for me at present and I can only pick out the occaisional word/phrase etc.
What would be cool is if I could find a Spanish News Channel (looked on Sky but no joy)
Any ideas? _________________ La hierba siempre verde en el otro lado de la valla |

No idea about TV but you can rent/buy DVD's that can be watched in Spanish. I think News might also be quite complicated, especially for beginners. I recommend either children's programmes (Teletubbies / Fimbles / Tweenies / Backyardigans etc) or films (either children's or ones that you've already seen so you know what's going on). _________________ Who am I? News broadcasts are usually in very fast Spanish, I struggle to follow them sometimes. _________________ .

Ok thanks Guys & Gals
I will check out the DVD rentals and see if I can find a Spanish 'Kids' programme from my past?
I did have a soft spot for the 'Klangers' but don't think that would be suitable .....
Cheers

I have looked on the following website
http://broadband-television.com/tv/spanish.html
this gives a list of many spanish speaking streams which are useful, but again speak too quick at times for me to completely grasp what they are talking about?
Cheers

Try Chilean or Argentinian sites/streams. They speak Spanish but far more slowly and clearly. _________________ .
