If you fancy a bar and music venue that's a bit different and features regular live music nights, including one tonight for the full moon, then try Vai Moana at the El Fraile end of the Las Galletas beach and road. It's on a bit of land that juts out into the sea so from 2 sides of it you are looking over water. There are hammock style seats outside and a splendid view back to Las Galletas. The bar has Easter Island statue paintings on the outside wall.

They have a wide range of music and have gigs on Sundays and Thursdays. For April they have the following acts: Sones de Jerez (Flamenco), Kalima ( Fusion rock), Two Flow (Chill out ethnic), Sin Semilla (reggae), Tacon Teatro (theatrical performance), Baifo (Funky soul jazz), and this coming Thursday Chubasco en el Ghetto (reggae).

The place was recommended to me by Jose from M4 and I think I will be a regular there although the drinks are expensive.

Love this place and glad to see its getting a mention on these forums. if you go try the hot goats cheese salad with apples and honey and also the roasted fillet for 2. then go into the chill out cafe for the rest of the evening - a great night!

Just got back from another great break in Tenerife. Went to Vai moana again and it was as superb as last time. Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Don't think it is pricey at all, its worth every euro! highly recommended!

Irishmusico, have you tried Brujas yet? It comes highly recommended by me and is fairly near Vai Moana (next to El Fraile).

I tried to access their website but couldn't...will deffo check this place out to see what they are about. As we are planning to open our own cafe etc it's good to see what's about.

Yes, the website hasn't been started yet as far as I can see but its printed on their literature. It's well worth checking out though!
