totally ignored in the uk as well even although theres a fine and points on your licence at risk, I still see people daily driving and using there mobiles...... crazy !!!!

My brother bless, stopped at some traffic lights, his phone went, he answered it and said '2 mins' and hung up as he knew what the call was about. He was still stationary and the next thing there is a tap on his window, think he was fined 100 odd euros, can't remember.

Lesson learnt.

thanks i saw someone using one last week in Tenerife and thought id ask you lot what the rules were.

I never forget once going back a few years we had a taxi back to airport from gds and the woman chatted on the phone all the way to airport. Never said anything she prob wouldnt have understood anyway and didnt know whether it was allowed so put up with it but was so annoyed it was all the way!

Should never use a mobile while driving .In southampton last week a 25 yr old mother of 1 has just been sent to prison for 4 years for speeding while usuing her mobile to send a text message and she knocked a cyclist off him killing him .he was also in the wrong as the lights had just changed to red and he cyled across the road < She pleaded not guilty why as she was sp[eeding doing 40 in a 30 mile zone and texting if she had pleaded guilty maybe she would of got less and she never once showed remorse .
I only know about this as it was my home town till moving here and i do like to catch up on the local news
you can not be focused on the roads if your texting or calling ..
A car is a beast!
