You could try sending an e-mail to John Palmer in his Spanish 'residence'. I think that prisoners are allowed mail. _________________ .

personally I wouldnt touch it with a barge pol..
Did you not watch the documentary about the timeshare out here.????
Do a search on....sunterra....club la costa. Both have rather bad reps here. Resort properties are also among them RCI aswell.
A lot of people over get sold timeshare as a points system for free holidays every year. Most dont actually get anything but part with a lot of money for the priviledge.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think again then think again before you part with any money.
If you want a place in the sun.....buy a property. At least then you know it is yours and you can go when you want.
I have met many people when I was working at a bar that were being told they would get the earth....nada...is what they actually got.
The only people that get anything out of it is the company. _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

It doesn't need a genius to work out the value of timeshare weeks.
Cost of 1 weeks timeshare in a luxury resort 8,000 E
multiplied by 50 weeks = 400,000E
cost of a 1 bed luxury apt say ..............200,000 E
Profit for the timeshare company...........200,000E
Plus profit on the maintenance, excursions, onsite bars, restaurants etc etc.
There are a couple of forum members trying to sell theirs for whatever they can get for them. That should ring alarm bells. _________________ .

Spot on Rob.
Gary, just have a think about the cost of renting a similar apartment. I assume the cost for a 3 bed luxury apartment with a 'private pool' (??? unlikely in an apartment !!), must be £12,000 - £15,000 upwards for a week's timeshare. You can rent something similar for about £500 - 600 per week, which equates to only £10,000 over 20 years. And you can choose a different apartment the next year if something has changed that you don't like, or you can choose your preferred week to fit in around your own life. E.g. what happens if your 'timeshare week' neighbours are the neighbours from hell? You're stuck with them during that week for maybe 20 years !!! Not fun. And in popular complexes, its not always possible to trade weeks.
Simple answer, don't do it !! Rent instead, and keep control. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
