Hiya all, quick question, is Torviscas Alto walkable from PDLA ? the reason i ask is that ive found a great apartment at the right price there and i need to know if its not walkable, i do love walking by the way, or if there are buses, or costs of taxis?

well its rather hilly lol....it goes up rather a long steep road. BUT it is lovely up there.

It can be colder slightly though. My friends have just moved there...they like it.

You can walk down to PDLA...it would take a while lol...depending on where you want to go.

Think hard Lee.

It may sound lovely strolling along and having a little walk.

The fact is a 30 min walk, uphill, in the heat of summer is not going to be fun everyday. Esp if you are quite far up in Torviscas.

mmm good advice, thanks Karl. Its just the apartment is fab on a residential complex and although i plan to work in PDLA or LC intially who knows what may come up?
I used to walk 40mins to work here so the distance is not a problem,and because of my alter ego! i need to exercise a lot to keep slim! LoL. I just really need to know that the roads are safe to walk on at night ie pavements lights etc or is Torviscus in the middle of nowhere for shopping for food/household stuff etc?

Zoom out to see where it is in relation to other areas. It is not in the iddle of nowhere but I don't think there are many shops and bars up at the top (there are several towards the motorway including the new shoppping centre Gran Sur that opened not long ago).

Thats brilliant, thank you Jenny, i think that looking at the map i had better stick with my original plan of living in LC to start with! it seems a bit far out.
Ive got a few places to look at in LC mainly studios which look fine but from what ive read here it seens the best way to find or do anything is to actually be there!!! which i will be next week, eeeek im nervous but im hoping finding a decent estate agent after me you all wont be to hard?

Have you booked a package deal? If not, stay in a pension or cheap place for 2 weeks while you look for a long let. You can then actually see the apartments/studios before saying yes.

Hi Jenny, yes ive booked cheap accomodation in LC from the 12th to the 23rd dec, the cost to stay over xmas was crazy!!!!

That means i have to get of the plane running! so to speak but im really hopeful i will find somewhere fast cos im a bit to delicate to sleep on the beach!!!!lol
