Hi Rob,
I am learning Spanish and it's pretty easy due to some similarity with Italian! But it's far from fluent...

To be honest, I would settle for less (jobwise), as long as I can manage living expenses. To the best of my knowledge, small flat and food are not that pricy. Please, correct me if I'm wrong! On the other hand, average salary is not that high, so I dont have big expectations...

My main concern is work permit...looks like mission impossibile Sad
Let's say, if I buy property, would it make any easier to get a job? Probably wouldn't Sad

Your only chance of getting a work permit is a specialised profession, so get cracking on the Spanish. Owning a property here will not help you get a work permit or job.

Thank you guys for your insight!!! I appreciate your helpful info Smile
LL, you're so right re. renting.
Rob, what do you mean by specialised profession? I'm not that optimistic about me being special Wink I dont bealive there is shortage of nurses or physiotherapists Sad and certainly not plenty of nursing homes, hospitals,clinics...
Does anybody know about some kind of medical assistance in some hotels?
As I emphasize earlier, i wouldn't mind any job opportunity as long as it covers my expenses...

There is a list of currently available jobs here: http://www.sun4free.com/forum/ftopic166.html

obviously these are not the only jobs around and if your Spanish is reasonable then there are plently more to be found.

A qualified nurse is a specialised profession in comparison with, bar work, PR, waitress etc.

I know, Rob. It was my stupid sense of humor. Sad Specially stupid Laughing
When i asked 'what do you mean by specialised profession', I was thinking (or better to say - dreaming) of profession in demand...cause it will be the only way to get a work permit...
