Hey Bard, as Margaret said that is a great pic.
Can't wait for February when we can see it in reality. _________________ Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. |

Bard, what a wonderful view of Mt Teide you have.
It must be great to walk outside and see Teide in all its glory.
Making another note on our list for when we can come over to live -
"look for somewhere with a view of Teide."

I can see a bit of it from my balcony - enough to check if there's any snow! |

Cracking photo... and what a lovely view you have! That's what Tenerife has, that Lanzarote doesn't... that real variety of scenery. Alan (hubby) really misses snow (although he was really cold in Derby, when he was there last week).
Our nearest mountain is Montaña Roja... and it really does turn red when the sun sets. It's a stunning sight at this time of year - with the most amazing sunsets. We climbed it once, and I was exhausted (hubby now intervenes to tell me it's only a hill. I complained in the Lake District too lol. If you go to Google Earth... and view the south of Lanzarote... you'll see Playa Blanca... and then zoom in, and go left a bit... that's Montana Roja. We live just to the east of it. Oh, and there's photographs of it there that you can view too. Alan's added a couple of his own as well.
