Post Post subject: Any ferries/ships from Spain or France to Tenerife? Reply with quote

Hi
We are living in France at the moment, with our little boy and two cats. It's a bit quiet for us here, we have some friends in Tenerife and are pondering on the idea of relocating!

Does anyone know of a ferry/ship that goes from Southern Spain or even France to Tenerife. We don't want to send the cats via plane (one of them is getting on a bit and would totally stress out!).

Has anyone done the ferry trip? Any ideas of cost and duration of the trip?
Many thanks

Transmeditteranea ferry from Cadiz..approx £750-00 yes thats £ss.for two people + car single journey dont know about cats Journey time approx 2.1/2 days..book well in advance it gets full quite quickly.
Option/ send car by ferry if theres room and fly fromSeville toTenerife pick up car from St.Cruz 2 days later

There are two options, one is the ferry from cadiz with a cabin, but be warned this is a floating transport cafe and if you don't commit suicide with boardem or catch scurvy you have done extremley well.
The other option is a fly ferry, from Cadiz again but then they transport you to seville airport and fly you here, picking your vehicle up 2 days later, trust me I have done them both and the later is the best option.

I have actually done the same that you wanted to do. I worked in France as the manager of a small French property agency for a couple of years and then my family decided to move to Tenerife. I love the life here and I am sure you will do too.
We flew there and had our stuff moved by a professional company. The ferry was too much hazzle for me.
