Hi there my name is Steve I am 20 years old.

At the moment I live in the UK but I am looking for work in Tenerife. I can start work in March/April '08.

I have 2 years experience in bar work which includes:
- Local Pubs
- Hotels
- Night Clubs

I also have some experience in Sales and Customer Service.

If anyone can help me that would be great.

Hi Steve and welcome to our forum. Generally in Tenerife, to find work you need to be here and go looking from bar to bar/hotel etc. Read some of our previous posts and especially the stickies, or make a search - you should find a lot of useful information on here.

your best bet and proberly only way of securing bar work would be living in tenerife! for someone with experience places like pdla are your best bet as with the high amount of bars around your more likely to find work but you wont get anything living here as when they need staff they need them there and then, work on your spanish before you go out save as much as you can and keep practising your bar work - best idea book a two week package holiday get over there sort your paperwork out and get looking for a job and apartment to rent

Hi Steve have a browse around the forum it is very interesting and very useful for a successful move out to the Reef.

Everyone is probably going to say that you will not get work till you are here on the Island, then walk round all the bars, hotels and clubs till you find something... I have had friends that have had to work behind the bar while looking for dj work, and I have also had a friend that had to do free djing in one bar to show that he could pull the people in till they paid him.

You really need to be here and be ready to network immediately.
