Aww no if it had been through drink I wouldn't have been so nice to him and he wouldn't have had to go home, he would have downed the wine on the table (only joking Jim!) ..... it was definately not, he was upset that he felt so bad and it wasn't self inflicted ! lol |
lol, Dave often says to me whenI complain it was the last drink that made me rough "are you sure it wasn't the hundred you had beforehand". At least he is feeling better now.
Funnily enough, well actually it is not funny at all, a friend of ours went home a few weeks ago and went down with salmonella, which the doctors are sure he got here, NOT NICE |
Well he managed to keep all food and water in yesterday for the first time since we arrived in Adeje that night. Bless him.... he actually thought on Friday when I got back he needed to go to hospital... and I had visions of still being there for when our flight left the Reef on Sat morn !
We went for Tapas on Thursday night and we order a paella... now I did comment at the time what if it had been there since the Tuesday when we were in and saw a paella in the tapas fridge but didn't have any?!? When it came I was a little suspicious and said I wasn't going to have any of the prawns etc as it wasn't hot enough saying it had to be reheated..... but he was like it will be right.... I had some of the rice and weren't too keen but the rest was nice.
On the strength of this I will not reccomend the place just in case it was this but the canarian man was very nice !
Through the day he had felt find mind we had walked to PDLA to say bye to our friend then walked up to Fannabe along the coast and he had a steak in a restaurant by the front and then we went home, he only drank water and had some ice cream..... and I can't see a steak making you that ill......So who knows, poor thing... I was dead mean to I kept telling him how good the tapas were..... as he loves tapas..... and couldn't eat it !! _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

It could have been the ice cream. I thought if you got food posioning it happened within a few hours so doubt it was the prawns 24 hours before. Sunstroke can also be really horrible and if you were in the sun a lot Friday, it could have been that. Glad to hear he is recovering. _________________ Who am I? Don't think he had enough ice cream, NHS said the following
" Food poisoningSymptomsIncubation periods are different for each cause of food poisoning. Some types produce symptoms and illness within 30 minutes to a few hours. Most cases of food poisoning take between 12-48 hours to develop and symptoms come on suddenly.
Other types take between a few days and up to a week before symptoms start to appear. If the food poisoning is due to an infection with Campylobacter, it may take a week or longer to develop symptoms.
Food poisoning usually lasts 1-3 days, but can continue for up to a week depending on the type of bacteria and how severe the infection is. It also depends how fit you are. Most people recover fully within a week."
So sounds like that really as it was all of a sudden the symptoms.... nether the less he is off prawns now ....an advert keeps coming on tv and he has to turn it over ha ha !

Believe it or not rice can be one of the worst foods for giving food poisoning. _________________ .

Yes and he is forever reminding me of that.... Men ha ha
I even said it was not hot enough......and it had been sat in one of those tapas fridges on the top...... I even queried what if it had been there since we saw a huge one on counter on the Tuesday ?!?
Live and learn.... he has cancelled prawn cocktail for his starter for Christmas lol _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

I just wish that I could have been there. I was really envious lying in my hospital bed drinking a can of non alcoholic beer that Andy so kindly brought me and eating cold stew with cold soggy chips. _________________ .

Yes its not half bad for a midweek pop-in. In fact, it would put a lot of top UK restaurants to shame. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
