Hello

I am 27 and i haven't really met anyone around my age here. I don't really go out much on a night as my boyfriend is working and i don't want to go out alone, and as i have been in and out of jobs i haven't really had chance to get to know people. Anyone else in the same boat?

Im coming out for a long run in April, i know very few people there very well and im going alone.. My worst fear is actually not making friends, so ive decided im going to go with Playaway as ill be with people in the same boat as me.

If lived out there ill go 4 a few bevvies with ya right now, im 24

Do you have any hobbies? Going to the gym is fine on your own and you'll meet new people (or you could even try that Polercise - sounds like fun!)

How long have you been here? Even if you have been here a long time, friends come and go, often due to moving back to UK. I had a similar problem several years ago. After my son was born I discovered a mother and toddler group where I met loads of girls with kids and made two of my now best friends there.

I have been here about a year now, i live in Los Cristianos.
I don't really have any hobbies! I used to work split shifts, and so i have never really had any time to get into anything, then when i got home on an evening around 11.45 i was too tired to do much except go for a quick drink round the corner!
I thought about joinin a gym, but i bought an exercise bike for home instead because now that i am out of a job i'm a bit skint! I think i have just got used to doing things on my own like reading and watching tele, or going out for a walk or a look round the shops, but it would be nice to meet some new people and be able to do something new or even just to go out for a few drinks. I will have to try and make it next time the forum have a meet up. Hopefully it won't be long until i get a job and then i will have some spare cash. What kind of things are there to do round here where you can meet people, except for joining a gym?

@ lovinit - don't worry about Rob. He gets a little excited when new females join the forum!! He also needs to get out more!!!

If you're in Los Crisitanos, you could go and take a look down at the Cultural Centre. They sometimes have things going on there that may be cheap or free even.

Otherwise, come along to the Bierkellar on Friday. That's free and is a charity event to help a friend of Treble's (forum member) with a children's home in Kenya. Some forum members may be there. I hope to go if I am feeling better.

i live in the north on a nice farm, if you ever want to take a ride, i'll fill you in on exactly how to get here by bus for about 2eu. i love meeting new people and showing off the north side of tenerife! be well & happy!

I am here on my own also I am 36 my name is Louisa and I live in Silencio, short bus ride from Los Cristianos. I have joined a pilates class in the evenings it doe cost you money but also a good way to meet people, obviously working you tend to meet people I am looking for work at the moment. Would be happy to come to los cristianos and if you are short of money what about a DVD and a bottle of wine?
