Post subject: New and need help with paperwork |
|

Hi everyone, can you help me sort out a list of things I must do now we are here?
My husband and I have our NIE numbers and certificado de empadrionamento and now want to move onto getting certificado de registro (residencias).
We need to know what paperwork our children need to become legal here. I know our 17 year old son will need his NIE/empadroniament/residencia etc but what about my girls aged 10 and 15?
None of the children have any paperwork as yet and a list of what they need would be great if anyone can help. For expample, do the girls need NIE numbers and how do I get them onto our certificado de empadroniamento?
All replies gratefully received.

Yes your children all need the same as you. You must carry some official ID with you at all times. For the car you'll need 'ficha technica' plus permiso de circulacion plus your driving licence plus insurance cert. _________________ .

When I was up in the Adeje tow hall a few weeks back...they said that the children do not need a NIE. You take their passports and birth certificates and put them on your Empadromiento as a family....BUT they will need their own Certificado de Registro....
Once that is done the officer in the town hall said that......the empadromiento needs to have a data change ...so that the number of the Certifcate is on their files.. They will also then send an officer of some sort round to the house to see if the children actually live there and that they are yours.. THIS IS ALL NEW FOR ME...
I actually got NIEs for all 3 of my children...So maybe you could get that then just go down woth all your paperwork for your CR...and see what else they say.
The rules change so often that really nobody knows whats what..lol
As for ID...Photo ID is good for card payments....it use to just be the card residencia..most people that I know carry around a photo ID and their Certificado registro. I carry my passport because I dont have a driving licence....you get a smaller photo copy of your passport and get it laminated....that passes aswell.. _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com
